I have this love/hate relationship with The Color Purple. The COLOR, not the movie. It used to be my very favorite color and I LOVE LOVE LOVED it until one day someone said something mean about me that made me not wear it for years. Seriously. I’ll wait for you if you want to go read the story about the Purple Grape.

Since I lost weight I’ve been slowly recapturing my love of Purple. Slowly is right- I bought purple sneakers, then a purple top, and I’ve found all kinds of ways LOVE my inner (and outer) purple again. Then I got an idea that immediately made me smile and them freak out all at once.
This is me and my hair taken just 5 minutes ago for you. Ignore all the mess behind me and my daughters hair pin that I found in the fridge as I was cleaning it this morning (Why was it in the fridge ?!?!?) So now that you saw me you’d totally know me at BlogHer or Fitcation or on the street, no? Of course not! I’m off to get my hair highlighted (yay blonde) and cut for BlogHer and Fitcation, so I thought, hmm. how about a little purple streak in my hair!

I used to have a red streak on the underside of my hair. I called it my “power strip” and now I’m wondering why I don’t have it anymore (grew out/faded away). SO DO IT! PURPLE IT UP!!!!!!!!!!
