Restarting the Stall!

Somehow, I’ve stalled.   I know I’ve had some crazy times in the past few months, starting with Summer and ending with the Fall.  Summer SHOULD HAVE meant lots of time outside doing things, walks, gym time and basic butt kicking but for me, it didn’t. I didn’t GAIN a lot of weight, but I didn’t lose, either.  Ok, I gained 8 pounds, but  in my history of gaining 20 or so it wasn’t so bad.  My smaller jeans fit, but barely.  I can blame it on 1000 things, but the bottom line is- It’s my fault,. I stopped finding the motivation to get going and  just- stopped. I ate pretty well because it’s ingrained into me now, and to be truthful, processed foods pretty much taste like crap to me, but exercise? I forgot what my gym looked like. I stopped walking.  I stopped making it, and me a priority.  I was overwhelmed with stuff going on at home and let that  be an excuse and a crutch for not doing what I needed to do. I lost that MOJO I had when I was a Mamavation Mom and lost over 20 pounds in 7 weeks.  But I know how to fix it.  And I’m going to!

This week is the beginning of the Mamavation Moms Grad campaign. It’s 6 pairs of former Mamavation Moms pairing up and competing on a 7 week weight loss bootcamp.

We know how to do it.. we’ve all  done it before… we’re ready to get back on track!

As for me, and my AMAZING partner, Rachel (of ToHabandtoHold)  and all geared up  to get started kicking some butt. Rachel JUST completed her Mamavation Mom campaign and lost over 46 pounds!  She is inspiring me SO MUCH to get moving and going!  Plus  all the women in our “competition” are already weight loss rock star warriors who have learned the ins and out of losing weight and getting healthy already with the Mamavation community!

These are the Grad Teams!

Team One: Shelley Oswald & Jenny Gniadecki

Team Two: Meagan Carter & Shannon Sanders

Team Three: Wendy Del Monte & Rachel Habegger

Team Four: Andrea Kruse & Angela Bishop

Team Five: Hanan Webster & Andrea Emilien

Team Six: Megan H. & Amanda O’Dair

We get the guidance of the awesome  Alysa Bajenaru of inspired RD, but  guess who we are working out with?  Billy Blanks and his Tae Bo butt kicking workouts!

102212I have a goal of losing 5% of my weight- or 12.5 pounds.  And my scale pic shows a 1.2 pound GAIN from the beginning of the campaign, As I said earlier, it’s been a rough little while, but  IT”S A NEW DAY and I’m ready to kick some butt!

This is my long term goal:  These jeans:

I last wore these jeans when my 14 year old was in 1st grade.  And I WILL GET INTO THEM AGAIN!  (A year ago, I couldn’t even wriggle into  them!) And yea, that is a little raccoon looking out. and it has a raccoon tail printed on the butt, too.  Super cute!)

In fact, this week I’ll be featuring guest posts from other people who have stalled on their weight loss  journeys  and getting ready to GO AGAIN!

Please make sure you come back all week to read their stories and give them some love!

  2. You so go girl! Waiting for you to get your Mojo back and show us how tough you are

  3. I have stalled too. Actually I totally went kaput when I was pregnant with my daughter who will be 2 very soon. I have tried a few times to get back with it and may have lost 10 lbs, but started working this past spring, and have not worked out since the first week I worked…..blah! So seeing the mamavation moms coming back and doing it again has inspired me to do it again too! Good luck to you and all the other moms, especially those that have stalled and are back up and running!

  4. I love you so much more for posting the jeans pic! I love that you can find the humor and still kick serious ass. Here’s getting back and unstalling the losses. You and Rachael are gonna kill it -yet again!
